PT, ATC, Sr. Therapist
Initially, I got into PT because I enjoyed working with athletes; however, since then I have grown to love treating patients of all backgrounds.
the best part of my job is getting patients back to activities they thought they’d never do again.
Outside of work, I am an avid outdoorsmen and love hunting and spending time with my wife and girls.
Growing up, I knew I always wanted a job in the medical field where I could help others. During high school, I had a close family friend who underwent brain surgery following a cancer diagnosis and went through PT to relearn how to walk. Watching his progress and the work he did with his rehabilitation team inspired me to go into physical therapy.
I enjoy getting to work with such a wide array of people and working with them throughout all the steps of their recovery. Every day is different and I get to learn so much through my patients while working with them.
In my free time to love to read, kayak, and go hiking at the Indiana Dunes.
My name is Megan Azzarello, OTD, OTR/L, CEAS. I work at the Elkhart and Mishawaka clinics. I graduated from The Ohio State University and then furthered my education to obtain my doctorate in occupational therapy from Hungtington University. My goal for patients is to regain independence for daily tasks that are client-centered. This could be returning to a favorite hobby after an injury, regain strength after a surgery, or educating a patient with tools to make their life easier.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and traveling.
