Sarah received her Associates degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville in 1997. She went to school for physical therapy because she was very involved in sports and was interested in helping athletes recover from injury so they could return to doing what they love. Interesting enough when she graduated with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree she worked in the hospital setting and realized how much she loved wound care. She worked in the burn unit at St. Joe Hospital for 6 years. Following her work at St. Joe Hospital she worked in long term care for 12 years because she enjoyed working with the older population. When working with the older population she realized how important balance was in reducing falls. Sarah then became interested in vestibular therapy and achieved that goal at IPT.
Sarah also received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Indiana Tech in 2004. She went to school for business management knowing that it would be helpful if she ever wanted to be a rehab director or help manage in the healthcare setting. She has not used this degree yet but believes maybe someday it will come in handy!
