OUR ILLINOIS ROAD PHYSICAL THERAPY TEAM

JOSH BUTCHER

PT, DPT, ATC, Sr. Therapist

BIO:

I became interested in being a Physical Therapist in high school when having PT after elbow surgery. In undergrad, I found the most interest in the rehab side of athletic training, so ultimately I pursued the DPT degree.

The best part of my job is interacting with a variety of people and trying to figure out how to encourage them best.

Fun fact about me, I am 6’7” and play golf, not basketball!

EMILY TRAHIN

PTA, CLT

BIO:

Why I became a PTA : To help patients in my community get back to feeling good so they can get back to doing the things they love most with the people they love most!

The best part of my job is coming to work every day and loving the people we treat and who I work with! You can always find something to laugh about every day no matter how you feel!

ELENA RENNINGER

PT, DPT

BIO:

I became a Physical Therapist to help people be their best selves and move pain free.

The best part of my job is seeing the joy in patients’ faces when they start to feel better, and getting to meet new people.

HANNAH JOHANNINGSMEIER

OT

BIO:

I love how with occupational therapy I am able to help people achieve the activities that are meaningful to them, as big or small as that may be. It allows me to problem solve and come up with creative solutions that are individual to each patient.

I love getting to know the patients and seeing them improve throughout the course of therapy through implementing the techniques they learned with me in therapy.

I have run 6 half marathons and enjoy making pottery in my free time!

KATIE WARNER

PT, DPT

BIO:

I became a Physical Therapist because growing up I spent a lot of time around a friend’s mom who was an OT and became very intrigued in the PT/OT world. I was a three-sport athlete through middle school and high school and experienced physical therapy as a patient, which heightened my interest. I have always loved learning about the body and working with people, and this profession allows me to do both. I have said since 6th grade that I wanted to be a physical therapist and never wavered from that.

My favorite part of the job is getting to work with people of all ages and from all different backgrounds. Being a physical therapist gives me a sense of giving back by helping others. Being from a small town that helped make me the person I am today, having a job that allows me to feel I am giving back in any way is very rewarding.

Fun fact about me: I was born and raised on the Lake James chain and learned how to water ski before learning to ride a bike.
