Athletic Training

Indiana Physical Therapy has been dedicated to the care and treatment of high school athletes in northeast Indiana since the company began in 1988. IPT established the first highs school outreach program in northeast Indiana, providing athletic training coverage to several local schools.

An athletic trainer is a bachelor degreed, allied health care professional, educated and trained in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. A certified athletic trainer is an individual who meets the qualifications set by a state regulatory board and/or the Board of Certification, Inc.

Indiana Physical Therapy currently employs five full time athletic trainers and six physical therapists who are also certified athletic trainers. This professional staff currently represents IPT at eight area high schools, providing daily injury evaluations, injury prevention training, and medical/rehabilitative coverage at numerous school athletic events. IPT provides all such services at no cost to any school.
